David is usually very good about doing his chores: putting his laundry away and feeding the dog. For this, he gets an "allowance" of $1 every 2 weeks (we're taking advantage of the cheap labor while we can!)

Today, our conversation went something like this:

Me: "Hey, David, I have some more laundry for you to put away."
David: "No thanks, Mom."

Since when do we get to say "no thanks" to laundry, and why wasn't I informed?!?!
